ATTITUDE DECIDES YOUR ALTITUDE

ATTITUDE DECIDES YOUR ALTITUDE

A shoe marketing company selected a new sales person and sent him to a town to find out the possibility of marketing their shoes there. The new sales person went to the town. He found everybody was wearing ordinary footwears. He could not find a single person wearing shoes. He came to a conclusion that these people are not interested for shoes. It might be very difficult to introduce the shoes to them and make them wear. He gave a telegram to the company stating, ‘ No possibility of marketing shoes here. Returning back’.

The company sent a second person to the same town to find out the possibility of marketing their shoes. As soon as the second man entered the town, he started observing the people. None was wearing shoes. He exclaimed and jumped in happy mood. He realized that a wonderful opportunity is there. If properly marketed, he could make a sale of thirty thousand shoes in a year, he thought. He gave a telegram to the company stating, ‘Huge potential. Send thirty thousand pairs and a team’.

Same town and same people were looked differently by these two salespersons.

What is the basic difference in these two persons ? ATTITUDE.

It is the way you look at things. It is the way you look at the world, people and things. Depending upon your attitudes, your views differ from others. The control center of your life is your attitude.

What is ATTITUDE ?

We can define attitude as the feeling or opinion about something or someone, or a way of behaving that follows from this.

Our (mental) views of different people and things are organized into ideals, values, opinions, beliefs and sentiments. Our emotions are organized into feelings, attitudes and motives.

We choose how we feel about others and situations. We choose our opinion about people and situations. We choose the way we will behave in relation to other people and circumstances. We choose it. It doesn’t have to be bad. It doesn’t have to be anything but what we want it to be. We have the option.

The choice of a right attitude will significantly determine new circumstances. Choosing to have the right attitude will change the world around you. This isn’t any sort of magic; it is just how the world works. It will significantly improve the world you live in. For example, let’s say that every day you go into work and you gripe about life and work from the moment you get there until the moment you leave. Will others want to be around you? Will others ask your opinion? Will others like you? Will others ask you to join them for lunch? Probably not! But what if you come to work every day and you are the positive optimist of the crowd? Will everybody love you? No, but significantly more people will than if you are the office pessimist! But there will be a difference. Your choice of attitude will determine what kind of circumstances you get!

‘The greatest revolution of our generation is the discovery that human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives’ quotes William James.

So an attitude is about the day's work, about Life in general, etc and it is something that you can choose what you will have. Now most people leave their attitudes to the tender mercies of circumstances that "this might happen", and that's liable to have you in any kind of an attitude except a desirable one unless now and then you meet some nice person. Frequently a person's attitude is very much determined by the last person they were talking to; and that doesn’t' easily adapt itself to having a very pleasant existence all day. So can you have about any kind of attitude you want?

The attitude decides about how your day goes. If you start off with a very pleasant attitude and your in charge of it and keep it that way, what kind of day do you have?

It is your attitude towards life that will determine life's attitude towards you.
It is your attitude at the beginning of a task more than anything else that will determine your success or failure.

Your attitude may be the single greatest contributor – or the biggest obstacle – to your success. Focus on developing and renewing a positive outlook

POSITIVE ATTITUDE BUILDERS :

1. LOOK FOR THE GOOD IN OTHERS

2. SEE PROBLEMS AS CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES

3. SAY ‘ I CAN ‘ MORE THAN ‘ I CAN’T ‘

4. EXPECT GOOD THINGS TO HAPPEN

5. CHOOSE POSITIVE THINKING FRIENDS

6. FIND THE GOOD IN ANY SITUATION

7. STOP WORRYING ! START LIVING !

8. LIVE HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

9. PICUTRE YOURSELF AS A WINNER

Everyone knows that a positive attitude is key to the successful life. But what happens when things go wrong? What happens when circumstances deal us a blow? We have a tendency to let our attitudes take the dive along with our state of affairs. Life deals us setbacks, both minor and major, on a regular basis, but if we are going to be successful, we need to know how to deal with them and keep our attitudes intact! We need practical tools to help us understand how we can go about keeping our attitude up, when the circumstances are down. Here are some thoughts to help us do so:

ü Focus on the goal only
ü Concentrate on solutions, not problems.
ü Don’t react immediately Take some time-out.
ü Get always some positive input.
ü Tell yourself the good.
ü Remember that circumstances are not forever.

You may be an executive, but without good attitude, you cannot be a good executive
You may be an employee, but without good attitude, you cannot be a good employee
You may be a student, but without good attitude, you cannot be a good student

You may be playing any role in your life, parent, teacher, businessman. You cannot be good in that role without having a good attitude.

The Choice is YOURS

With a Bad attitude you can never have a positive day

With a Positive attitude
you can never have a bad day

The Choice is YOURS

Change your Attitude to Make Life Instantly Respond
